Our first foal of 2001 was born on
March 20, 2001, about 8:00 a.m. His dam is Brown Shoes
(Throughbred/Percheron)
and his sire is Tamarack Je Fe (Andalusian). The colt is very cute--a
little white on each hind hoof and a few white hairs on inside of one
hind pastern, about 7 white hairs on forehead. Check out his
brother, Two Shoes. Lois predicts Saddle Shoes
will grow to be around 17 hands tall!
Saddle Shoes is sold and his new owners are
Eddie & Tracy Matthews.
Baby Has a Name! The winning name in
the "Name That Colt" Contest was Saddle Shoes. The name is a
clever way to describe his black and white striped rear hooves. The name
was first suggested by "Caity" and will be his official name
to be registered with the International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse
Association. Congratulations and thanks to Caity, as well as all the
others who suggested this creative name and participated in our contest.
